Absolutely Unreal!

Time: 7:05pm
Mood:
pissed off.. but glad it's Friday!

Song of the moment: Oasis - Champagne Supernova

I'm in an Oasis mood right now... partially b/c I just got the Oasis concert tickets I got in the mail *yay*! haha! I'm going w/ Al, a big Oasis fan I used to live w/ in 4th @ Waterloo :D

Anyway, I've had the most 2 unreal days ever. I'll start with the one that completely pissed me off, then I'll get into the fun one! :D

"GO AWAY"

So I was @ work yesterday, and work has been getting increadibly busy lately. I've been working my ass off and staying late almost every night. Today, I didn't have anything to eat until 2:30 :S Anyway, so it was the middle of the afternoon, a lab tech called me up and asked me to get some clips to put on this part so that he could mount in on a testing fixture. So I decided to go to the production floor (which was 3 buildings over!) and see if they had any clips. I talked to the floor manager, and he directed me to another guy who was on the floor. So I began to walk around the floor looking for this guy. I finally find him, but he was busy so I stood by him and waiting for him to be no so busy. Just then, I suppose a customer tour was going through, and among them was this program manager I was working with on one of his programs. He approched me and asked me what I was doing, so I told him. So he began to tell me where I could go about getting these clips. All of a sudden, this Indian man with a snotty British accent came up to us, looked at me and said in the most rude and condescending voice "GO AWAY". I gave him a puzzled look because I was trying to figure out if he was joking or not because it was so increadibly rude it was unreal. He said it again "GO AWAY". At this point I was still trying to see if he was kidding, but I was beginning to think he wasn't. Then he said "GO AWAY BEFORE I LOSE MY TEMPER". So he was serious. I walked away. I was mad and extremely upset. For real, I've never EVER been talked to that way before. No one should. I went back to my desk extremely upset and pissed off.. sat there for a moment then decided to go to the lab and tell the lab tech I couldn't find any clips. As I was walkin to the lab, I saw the program manager I was talking to earlier and he called me into his office. The first thing he did was apologize for the way that guy talked to me. That's when I started to cry. We talked for a while, then I went down to the lab, where I told the lab techs and all the lab ppl there.. and at this point I was just crying so hard I couldn't even talk.

Not only was this experience upsetting.. it was embarassing b/c he yelled @ me in front of ppl. What a jerk. I didn't even know who he was. Apparently he's one of the VPs of the company and he's known to be the biggest fucking ass. The lab manager told me to report it to HR, and demanded that he apologize to me. So that's what I did. The HR lady wasn't surprised that it was the VP guy, which told me this is not the first time someone reported something. I did absolutely nothing to deserve that kind of treatment. I was absolutely enraged at someone w/ that stature could be so increably rude. You know what? w/ the amount of stress he has to go through every day, and w/ that attitude, he's going to die of a heart attack in 2 years. So who cares right? haha! Fucking corporate loser. I would go through a slow painful death than to be like that waste of a human being.

The Unwelcome Guest

The past couple of days prior to this incident we have been noticing little animal droppings around our house. We all assumed it was a mouse. Wednesday evening I come home from work, drop my stuff @ the door and proceed to walk up the stairs towards my room. As I reach the top of the stairs I catch something in the corner of my eye on my banister.. something brown and had a bushy tail. I look over and SHIT it's a SQUIRREL!!! OMG there was a friggin huge-ass squirrel in my house!!! It saw me, and bolted down the stairs, into the dining room, then finally running into the kitchen. I was freaking out. My mom started to scream "skunk! skunk!" HAHA! Anyway, it managed to jump into some plastic bins we had in the corner. My mom called my dad telling him to come home, I called Jimmy telling him to come over.. haha! we're such chicken-shits! Anyway, my dad got home, he couldn't find it anywhere (I was insisting it ws in the plastic bins.. and it was.. but we couldn't see it b/c it was hiding behind the stuff that was in the bin). We managed to have dinner w/o the thing running out. After dinner, we closed off the kitchen and proceeded to lure the squirrel out. My mom didn't want to have any part of this operation so she left. I, on the other hand, wanted to take a picture so I stood there w/ camera in hand. My dad managed to lure it out of the bin by poking it with the end of a broom (my bright idea.. a bad one I might add.. you'll find out soon why...).

It was crazy. It began to run around the kitchen and refused to leave out the sliding doors that lead to the outside, which we had left wide open. The little f--ker jumped on me. Not once.. but TWICE! OMG!! Not fun! I was absolutely no help.. I spent the entire time screaming! HAHAH! It eventually ran back into the bins, and that's when my dad decided to cover the bins w/ a garbage bag to trap the squirrel. Now that bright idea worked. LOL!

Here are some pics!

The top of the picture you can see half the squirrel JUMPNG off my kitchen table. Please note where my dog is (frigging Pepper!)

The limber squirrel walking around (not out) the sliding doors. That little bugger!

Oh gotta go! Got a hot date w/ my man *giggle* :D

Spring Time in the Winter

Time: 6:57pm
Mood: Exhausted (long day @ work)
Song of the moment: Darren Hayes - Beautiful

I just don't understand the weather these days. I coulda sworn Monday was -10°C out, and today it was 11°C. This is not normal. We should be getting snowstorms and blizzards. What is this... +11°C? And tonite it's supposed to snow. I think Mother Nature had a melt down and finally cracked. It's nice b/c I get to wear my new leather jacket out, but utterly bad for my closet b/c I can't pack my fall clothes.

So since I moved the couch out of my room, the spot that it used to sit in looked mighty empty. So what did I do? I rearranged my room :) But before that I bought a new dresser from IKEA *yay!* Geez I spent $160 on that and other purchases... such a money sucker! So now my bed, which used to be against the wall length-wise is now against my wall width-wise. I also moved my desk around. Jimmy says my room looks bigger now :D

*sigh* so tired @ work.. it's getting increadibly busy! This week has been horrible :( I had to stay late (which I hate doing). I hope it gets better soon :S

Oh dindin time :D

I wouldn't be surprised if I started picking up radio stations! I'm watching Jimmy right now getting a haircut :) Oh the beauties of having a future mother-in-law as a hair-dresser and wireless internet :D

lalala i'm just playing the waiting game right now....

First Bridal Show

Time: 10:28pm
Mood: Tired (it's been a long day...)
Song of the moment: Jimmy Eat World - Futures

I attended my first every bridal show this weekend. It was definitely a real eye opener.. and now I'm major stressed! So much to plan! I was absolutely exhausted after walking around, having countless vendors pop in front of me, trying to reel me into their booth while I walked around aimlessly. I was seriously lost. Not because it was like a bloody maze.. it was because I was overwhelmed. When I got home, poor Jimmy watched me freak out for an hour and a half while I was sifting through all the business cards and brochures I got from the vendors. I realize I do have time.. a year and a half is sufficent time to make things close to perfect. But where to start? I already booked the church.. and that's pretty much all I've done so far. *sigh* I figure the next step is to book the venue.. then the photographer. Oh and I still gotta find a dress... and pick the colours. I was thinking green. ahhh!! :S

*deep breath in... and relax*

Can't be stressing out so close to bedtime! :D

Work finally gave me my laptop! Those IT guys took so bloody long to get it to me. They really take their time with stuff. Man I went into the wrong field (maybe every IT job is like Jimmy's *grr*). Work has been busy. Days are starting to fly thank God! Still lots of bugs to work out though. For one thing, my bloody phone voicemail still does not work. They're never going to get it fixed.. I just know it! Hm... I wonder if I can start expensing my cell phone b/c of that *muhahaha*

Happy New Year (and Blog 1 Year Anniversary!)

Time: 10:12pm
Mood: Drowsy...
Song of the moment: Backstreet Boys - As Long As You Love Me

Happy New Year everyone! Going back to work after a week off has proven to be a difficult task. I started yesterday and already I'm ready for another week off! To summarize my week off: Slept, watched tv, saw friends I havn't seen in a while (a little too long for some! I guess my fellow Waterloo Chemmies would agree!), drank, watched hockey, shopped (I got my new leather jacket! hooray!) and baked cookies :S

As usual, me and my friends didn't decide what to do on new years day until the very last minute. We opted for our default plan: party @ Saloni's. Which was fun b/c she had NHL Center Ice, which pretty much plays all the hockey games that are on. We watched the Canada play the US in the International Junior Hockey Championship AND the Leafs game (we kept flipping between the games). And every time the Leafs or the Canadian Junior team scored, the guys (and Saloni.. oh girl! You show those boys!) took a shot of wisky. Yeah. I don't even remember how many shots that was... :S After those games, we tuned into other hockey games, and they were going to do the whole shot thing w/ those games but they got side tracked when Saloni brought out the X-Box. What did they play? NHL 2003 :S

Soon Joyce, Jenn and Mel arrived and we spent the rest of the evening playing Taboo and drinking. I admit.. I had too much to drink that night. I didn't go all pukey pukey (haha I didn't live up to my nickname) but the alcohol consumption was slow and steady. Ok maybe not slow.. :S I must have had 8 drinks or sumthin but I was drunk until 7am (that's when I finally fell asleep!). And by sleeping that late/early, I completely f-ed my sleeping pattern...

I got 45 min of sleep Monday night.

I went to work the next day. I don't know how I managed to keep awake. What sucked was it was such a slow day.. it made me hate my job :S After work, I headed to Jimmy's house for dinner, then invited Bashar, Flo and Kin over to watch the Junior Championships again. Canada was playing Finland in the semi-finals.. Canada won! They play Russia tomorrow in the gold medal game :)

Shit I watched a lot of hockey over the holidays! Maybe it felt that way b/c I also played a lot of hockey too. No no.. not really hockey.. (haha you thought i was for real huh?) just NHL 2006 on PS2. I bought it for Jimmy over the holidays cuz it was cheap. And you want to hear the funny part? We played 7 games.. I won 5 haha *beaming*. The last time I played I beat him 4 games in a row (out of the 4 games we played). Oh I know Jimmy's shaking his head while reading this (am I right hun? hahaha!)

So last night, I was feeling tired but I was scared that I wouldn't be able to fall asleep. So I cheated. I took some anti-nausea meadication to make me drowsy enough to sleep. I know.. *slap the back of the hand* BAD KAREBEAR! But it worked! That stuff knocked me out cold! Still felt the effects when I woke up this morning though :S

Here are some pics from our little new years party :D

So the Leaf's score a goal.... they line up there shots.. there goes Jimmy and Saloni...

... there goes Bashar...

... Saloni's wondering why Kin hasn't shot yet ("Would you hurry up and shoot the damn thing?")

... and finally there goes Kin..

That nasty huh? hahah

The gals (Jenn, Saloni, Mel & Joyce)

Me and semi-drunk Jimmy (ok I'm semi-drunk too...)
