The Job Dilemma

Time: 10:48pm
Mood: Confused
Song of the moment: Jessica Simpson - A Public Affair

I guess I need your opinion:

Would you rather have a shit job but work w/ great people, or have a great job but work w/ shit people?

*sigh*

I havn't gotten a job offer.. I havn't even had the interview. My interview is tomorrow morning. I guess we'll see... but if I get the job offer I don't know what to do...

Hmm.. tough one..

I'd rather have a great job and work with difficult people so that at least I have the job satisfaction! I can live with people who give me crap... (just ignore them).

My ex-boss once advised : You are alone at work. You do not have friends at work.

I've been practising 'that' ever since and it's actually practical and helps me to be better at work.. That's what the gang, especially Andy and Kylie do as well... Good luck!

public static void Jobdecision(str working)

if (working="career advancement")
Job.Current = "New job";
else
Job.Current = "Shit job";

Okay, enough of that the bottom line is if you want a job you can enjoy and stay stable with, then choose the job with great people. If this happens to be your old job then get all their contact information, there is no rule that says you can't associate with them after work.

But, I would think you're looking for some advancement in your career and life. Then put up with a better job, because the credentials will get you to another place, hopefully a better position with great people. :)

I think I would rather work with good people...looking to your job for fulfillment is shortsighted and I believe happiness is much easier to achieve through friends, family, community...material goods are fleeting, but that is only my opinion.

Best of luck!
