It's been quite an exciting weekend for Jimmy and I :D We signed on to purchase our brand new home! It's not official yet, we still have the let the paper work go through and get a pre-approval on our mortgage (eeks a mortgage! I feel old!). But Lot 43A is ours for now! It's been so fast! We started our house-hunting last weekend. We knew which area we wanted to live in, so we went to all the builders that were building homes in that area. We took a crap load of floorplans home and we finally narrowed it down to one. We inquired about which lots were available but the pickin's weren't all that great. It was too close to the main road and I thought it would get too noisy and busy. The sales associate told us that they were expecting to open 5 new lots on Saturday. Saturday (yesterday) rolled along and we called first thing in the morning and lucky for us, the 5 new lots that opened were in a nice location. We went in and signed!

I can't believe it!

There are so many things to think about now! Not only do we have a wedding to plan, we have to think about how to design and decorate our new home! It doesn't close until next May.. but still! Exciting times for Jimmy and I! The next problem is: how are we going to pay for this all?

This week is going to be crazy for me :S Gotta get pre-approved for the mortgage, find a lawyer to look over the contract.. and on top of that I have to head down to Michigan for a training session @ Ford. My first business trip! Least I have some time away from the office :) It's crazy.. I'm going to have to go down to Michigan almost every week this month. Next week I have a meeting w/ GM, and then the following week I have training @ Ford again. March is definitely going to be fun fun fun!! Hm... on the plus side... maybe I can sneak in some shopping @ VS :D
